Hippies are the most common concept to figure out in 1960's ,with their eternal soul and cheerful manners .My description of the hippy character is a little different than the classical long haired one.Because 60s' spirit is much more than shape .In my illustration I simply described a hippy in space with his astronaut helmet and modified guitar .So comment is yours.

Nice design. The hippie out in space is an interesting idea.

Lots of retro with some futuristic elements is a good combo.
